SPRINT EXPANDS GLOBAL IP NETWORK TO CHILE AND VENEZUELA – SEPTEMBER 2002
Sprint Corporation has announced the expansion of its global IP network, SprintLink to Chile and Venezuela. The offering will provide local business customers with global access to the company’s Internet backbone and give multinationals a more reliable solution for procuring IP services within the region.
US-based Sprint is a global communications company and an integrator of long-distance, local service, and wireless communications. It is also a carrier of Internet traffic using its own fibre optic IP network. Sprint’s local division has 8.23 million access lines in over 3,000 communities in 18 US states.
