LOWEST BROADBAND PACKAGE FROM NEIGHBORHOOD CABLE – JULY 2002
Regional communications provider Neighborhood Cable has broken the broadband price barrier, introducing Australia’s lowest cost cable broadband offer of $34.95 a month in Ballarat and Mildura.
As part of the offer, customers will pay only $99 for connection and use of a cable modem, saving $200 on the normal price.
Neighborhood Cable’s offer means that broadband can now be cheaper than dial-up internet access.
The offer is aimed to more than double current customer numbers in Ballarat, and increase numbers in Mildura.
The special offer is available to anyone within the Neighborhood Cable area in Ballarat and Mildura until September 30. It includes unlimited upload/download speeds and a monthly download limit of 250MB with a cost of 15c cents per MB for additional usage. Customers will pay a $299 disconnection fee if the service is terminated within 12 months.
