EU supports Serbia’s IT industry with €750 million fund

Growth in IT market spending in Serbia is expected to be flat in 2009 and 2010 before recovering during 2011, in line with expected overall economic growth. Stimulating market growth is €750 million in funds allocated to the IT sector by the EU in October 2009. Under the EU program the funds will be allocated over three years to small and medium businesses to support innovation and competition.
