AUSTRALIAN CONTENT ON NTT DOCOMO’S I-MODE – MARCH 2001

Australian company JTV World Pty Ltd has furthered its move into producing, aggregating and localising Australian content and applications for delivery over NTT DoCoMo’s i-mode platform in Japan after firming its relationships with many Japanese content players from Softbank Mobile, JAL, OkiDoki TV (large Cable Satellite TV Network), TBS (one of the few free-to-air TV channels in Japan) and more.

The company has secure more revenue generating, subscription based platforms and environments in Japan for leveraging Australian content and applications. Japan has one of the world’s largest population of wireless phone users with 31.1 million having Internet enabled mobile phones, and about 80% of these users subscribing for some sort of fee-based service.

Mr Jacob Dedek the owner and founder of JTV is a well-know personality in Japan and has lived and worked here for 15 years.
